Writing about Jolene 'The Valkyrie' Hexx (21-6-1) is not as easy as it seems. Yes, she is the face of the LFC. Yes, she has an incredible record. Yes, she is the best trash talker in the league. And yes, she exudes confidence that is undeniably real. Okay, we’re done, what else is there to say?

The problem is that she makes it look so easy, naturally filling the spotlight, the one to emulate, and the one to beat. The struggle to make a name for yourself in the grueling sport of MMA is no longer her concern. She wears the European Championship belt as if it were the LFC Championship belt, and that confidence gives her a share of the top-spot in her eyes and in the eyes of many. In some ways, the LFC Championship belt means having to deal with the grind 24/7, always on the lookout, leaving very little time to enjoy the nuances of the fight game. Jolene seems to have it all figured out and is much the wiser for it. She is fearless in and out of the cage and never backs down, not even to the LFC Prez, Holly 'The Lotus' Mei (16-5), as we saw at LFC27: Sexy, Nerdy, Inked & Curvy and beyond.

Jolene’s fights are always exciting; there is never a break from form, and no one will ever accuse of her of not discharging all of her weapons. That is precisely why she is held in the highest regards when it comes to the subject of LFC. With performers like Jolene, there is always a tendency to take them for granted. That should not be the case here. She well deserves the appreciation and adulation of the fans.

Hexx may decide to fight for the LFC Championship belt at some point, and she will no doubt do her best to get it. Her verbal attacks are as unnerving as is her onslaught to an opponent – backed by a lifetime of Krav Maga. It doesn’t look like much fun having to face her, as she seems to relish in embarrassing and making things uncomfortable for others.

We had a chance to catch up with ‘The Valkyrie.’ Enjoy the interview:

A.C.:

What was your experience with the crowds at Sturgis like?

JH:

~The attendees at Sturgis were awesome! By far my favorite event to date! They were receptive and rowdy, lots of fan pics, and free drinks after the fights! ;)

A.C.:

What was it like fighting the veteran that is Allie 'Babydoll' Parks (17-9)?

JH:

~Allie came out much stronger than I anticipated, but I had a lot of fun and eventually sitting on her face. :)

A.C.:

You are great at trash talking in the cage/ring. Does that come naturally to you?

JH:

~LOL, I’ve heard that “compliment” before. If you ask anyone, I’m kinda an asshole.

A.C.:

Has any fighter matched you in trash talking yet?

JH:

~Nope. When they try, it just challenges me to level up.

A.C.:

How do you feel about Holly 'The Lotus' Mei (16-5) stepping down as Prez?

JH:

~It’s about time.

A.C.:

Do you want to fight Holly at any point?

JH:

~That’s the main reason I’m glad she’s finally backing down from her elevated safe zone.

A.C.:

Are you surprised or even saddened that Andreea 'The Storm' Vladoi (13-4-1) is gone? You two matched up so well.

JH:

~I loved fighting her. It’s the saddest retirement since my involvement in the production.

A.C.:

It is obvious that you carry a lot of the load when it comes to being the face of the league. Is that a heavy responsibility for you?

JH:

~I think it’s cool how much leverage I get as a lead role in LFC. I love doing the podcasts, interviews, photo shoots, viral reels, and the publicity it gives.

A.C.:

Is there someone you feel motivated to fight anytime soon?

JH:

~ Anyone! Step up bitches!

A.C.:

Any words for your many fans?

JH:

~Just a wholehearted “thank you!” We have so many die hard supporters that make the LFC possible, and you all rock so hard!!

A.C.:

Thank you, Jolene.

JH:

My Pleasure.
