The inaugural episode kicks off smoothly, as if though the show was in mid-season form. There are no first time jitters here from anyone. Owner, Roni Taylor, talks about the concept for the LFC: an athlete that looks like a ring girl who can also fight. We meet two new additions to the league, Michelle 'Scrapper' Blanchard (1-0) and coach Arik Loegen. Blanchard, a two-sport athlete, is the prototypical LFC star. She is unapologetically attractive, athletic, and possesses more confidence than she needs. Loegen embodies the playful and inappropriate aspect of the LFC that sometimes forces its way into the program. This attitude will come back to haunt him.

Feather 'The Hammer' Hadden (20-1), the greatest champion to ever fight in the LFC, makes an appearance. Hadden spars a little with Blanchard, who confirms that she is capable of transitioning from the gridiron into the octagon. Loegen wastes no time in showing the pink team that he really does not deserve to lead/train them. Tara 'Guillotine' Gaddy (5-4), who is Blanchard’s first opponent at LFC18: Lace vs. Leather, shows concern that Loegen is lacking and not up to the task. Gaddy looks substantially undersized and surprisingly lost against the unrelenting Blanchard. Gaddy loses by guillotine, her own signature move. An unconscious Tara is ignored by Loegan, who is more concerned with personal pleasure as he eventually walks out of the cage with a ring girl he has been flirting with. The first episode sets an interesting plot on what’s yet to come.
